# http.alpagot.net

> A deliberately plain-HTTP, single-page site that makes captive portal
> login screens appear on public WiFi (hotels, trains, planes, airports).
> It is served origin-less: every response, including this file, is a
> synthetic response generated in Fastly VCL at the edge.

## Key facts

- The site must be reached over http:// - an https:// version would defeat
its purpose and is not offered on this hostname.
- It is safe by design: static content, no forms, no cookies, no logins,
nothing sensitive ever crosses the unencrypted connection.
- Architecture: Fastly VCL service, zero origin servers, HTML assembled in
vcl_error, binary assets shipped with synthetic.base64.
- The page sends Cache-Control: no-store so a captive portal can always
  intercept a fresh network request.
